Result of unseasonably warm days and rainy forecast for the next days, Mont Sainte-Anne ends its 2011-2012 season and won’t be open for the weekend.
The snow conditions on the North Side of the moutain deteriorated rapidly earlier this week as temperatures reached almost 30 degrees Celsius. The management team visited this sector yesterday in the afternoon and took the decision to end the mountain operations for the season, due to safety concerns for customers.
Mont-Sainte-Anne is the last resort to close in the area of Quebec City and offered again one of the longest seasons in the province. The season ends with positive results, taking into account the warm temperatures at the beginning and the end of the season.
